Arthritis in Cats

Arthritis is inflammation of the joints to which older cats are particularly susceptible. It is first noticed as a general slowing down and stiffness with a loss of the natural grace that a cat possesses. A veterinary surgeon should look over your cat to check that there are no other reasons for the condition and there is no cure for arthiritis but certain drugs can help the situation and warmth is particularly helpful which is why if you ever lose an old cat you should always check behind the fridge.
