Anaphylactic Shock in Cats
Anaphylaxis, or anaphylactic shock in cats is an extremely allergic reaction that can occur following a bite, sting, or contact with some other substance such as drugs, poisons or in very rare cases the cats food itself. Anaphylactic shock in cats are typically shown by collapse, breathing difficulties, vomiting, diarrhea and the gums turning blue as well as your cat failing to respond.
Treatment of Anaphylatic shock in Cats
Anaphylatic shock is an extrememly dangerous condition and medical intervention must be sought immediately as death is almost always the ultimate outcome. The treatment for anaphylaxis is an injection of adrenaline or epinepherine which must be administered quickly.
